They do not like the thought of gay sex, in fact they dispise it, and so they move to suggest that it shouldn't be allowed. Understand that people in the past have used your exact same style of argumentation to defend notions about homosexuality being wrong, as an example. I also put forth the following: If I were to ask you to come up with a reason, based on rational and logical thinking alone, for why games such as this should not be allowed, then you would be unable to do so. I personally would see no reason to play a game that revolves around rape for anything other then the lol value involved, but I would take a very vocal stand against what your saying, if this was any sort of public debate. And you would also have to say the exact same in regards to games that allow a person to commit murder and kill people, otherwise we're simply talking about a nonsensical double-standard. You're willing to force your opinions on others for the sole reason that you dislike like the target material. Really 'uneasy' would probably be what I have to say abou this whole thing. Its fake, no peopel are really being harmed or even actors pretending or anything, but. I'm all for freedom of expression, but there ARE limits.
I don't think anyone is going to claim that playing this game will turn people into rapist happy crazy people.at least I hope not.īut its still a game with utterly no redeeming attributes as far as I can tell, it can't hide behind even a thin excuse of a plot! It is literally nothing more or less then a rape simulator. In terms of 'violent' games I don't think there is a comprable game, 'murder simulator' where you have no plot except going and practicing disembowling again and again in high and gorry detial. Its not a 'love story' or a 'drama' or something, the entire game is built around repeatedly raping three women again and again and again until they are 'broken' and all 'like it'. I also think we need to put this game into context
It's a principle any reasonable woman will also stand behind. I look forward to a men's movement that does not only stomp down misogyny, but also demands fairness to men and honors their value. While I think it's vitally important for men to support and demand rights for women, it shouldn't mean only women are entitled to them. I'm surprised this angle was brought up, but it's good that it was. It's a difficult atmosphere for men to look for justice and equality in this regard - perhaps because a patriarchal society already holds men in a superior position and therefore expects them to graciously take one for the team. Women are not the only ones being done injustice to, but when they are it's much more blatant and pervasive. I suspect it has to do with men's reluctance to be seen as victims, or in this case wrongly portrayed as rapists (as women are wrongly portrayed as objects of pleasure and entertainment). You're right to a certain extent, there is a conspicuous silence regarding this.
